At its June 2014 meeting, the Liaison Committee for Medical Education approved the AAMC Uniform Clinical Training Affiliation Agreement, which meets its accreditation standards. The support limits a multi-year public relations process to reduce the need to negotiate and renegotiate agreements for short-term and supervised training experiences, which pose a relatively low risk to all parties involved. The AURRA contains common legal concepts and is used as a PDF document on the AAMC website. It is designed to be incorporated by reference into a program contract letter (or other agreement) signed by the sponsoring institution and participating website. For those who need to amend or add provisions due to unique legal requirements of the state or for other reasons, the PLA may be amended to reflect those provisions.
